Cempaka Performing Arts Company proudly celebrates an extraordinary milestone — 7 awards in the Musical Theatre category for School of Rock at the 21st BOH Cameronian Arts Awards.

When the nominees were announced on 10 February 2026, we were both honoured and humbled to learn that School of Rock had been nominated across all 10 subcategories in Musical Theatre. That moment alone felt like a remarkable achievement and set the stage for an exciting lead-up to the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards Night on 3 May 2026.

There was also a sense of déjà vu — just two years ago, we found ourselves in a similar position, nominated across the board. This time, however, we returned with renewed spirit and anticipation. Held at PJPac, the evening brought together our creative team and actor nominees, all eager to witness the results.

What followed was truly unforgettable.

As the winners were announced, School of Rock went on to secure 7 awards, including the major honours of Best Choreographer, Best Musical Direction, and Best Direction. In a moment that felt almost surreal, we realised we were witnessing our biggest win to date.

From 10 nominations to 7 wins, this achievement stands as a powerful testament to the passion, dedication, and pursuit of excellence that defined this production. Every rehearsal, every detail, and every contribution played a part in bringing this vision to life.
